EnergyNetIQ, Lda (ENG8) is a Portuguese deep-tech company developing breakthrough clean energy solutions. Our core technology, the EnergiCell®, is an innovative energy cell that generates heat and electricity from water through controlled plasma and catalysed low-energy nuclear reactions (LENR). This role has been created following approval of our project under the CENTRO 2030 programme – Notice CENTRO2030-2025-14, “Apoio à Criação de Emprego em Microempresas”.

"Core Technical Skills • Strong knowledge of high-voltage electronics (500 V – 50 kV), including safe operation of programmable AC/DC high-voltage power supplies. • Practical experience in power electronics, voltage, current and power regulation. • Ability to repair power supplies: component selection, soldering and recalibration after failures. • Experience operating laboratory power supplies via digital interfaces (Vset, Iset, Wset, etc.). • Confident use of high-voltage lab instrumentation: oscilloscopes, HV probes, current monitors, multimeters and DAQ systems. • Design and implementation of electrical interfaces: cabling, connectors, safety interlocks, grounding and shielding for EnergiCells. Plasma & Experimental Skills (Significant Advantage) • Understanding of plasma generation, high-voltage discharges and gas discharge physics. • Experience tuning electrical parameters to achieve and maintain stable plasma. • Basic knowledge of plasma diagnostics. Safety & Lab Practices • Excellent understanding of high-voltage safety procedures, risk assessment, PPE and emergency protocols. • Ability to develop and follow SOPs for high-voltage experimental setups. • Familiarity with relevant safety standards (e.g. IEC 61010-1). Additional Skills • Automation: Python, LabVIEW, Arduino/Raspberry Pi for data logging and control. • Reading electrical schematics, datasheets and technical manuals. • Mounting, cooling and basic mechanical assembly of equipment. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or related field. • Hands-on experience with high-voltage equipment in laboratory or project environments. • Strong problem-solving “get-it-working” attitude, attention to detail and rigorous documentation. • Good command of English; Russian is an advantage. • Ability to work independently and safely in a small R&D team at PCI Creative Science Park, Ílhavo."
