This document describes the conditions under which PCI - Parque de Ciência e Inovação S.A., a public limited company with registered offices at Via do Conhecimento, Parque de Ciência e Inovação, Edifício Central, 3830-352 Ílhavo, municipality of Ílhavo and parish of Ílhavo (São Salvador), legal person no. 509574254, hereinafter referred to as “PCI”, carries out data processing operations.
In view of the new legal framework, PCI is adopting the internal measures it considers appropriate to protect the personal data being processed. Personal data includes, for example, name, identification number, location data and personal contact details. The activities of collecting, storing, recording, modifying, consulting, using, transmitting and destroying data represent data processing operations.
Data processing operations are in accordance with national legislation, namely Law No. 58/2019 of August 8 and the applicable Personal Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016.

PCI collects data through online forms on its website, via email, as well as physically, through the collection of data for the purpose of generating billing documents, service contracts, satisfaction forms, or others.
Identification data: name and email in the event of communication being sent to the contact addresses on our website, by telephone or in person. The data collected is processed for the period strictly necessary to fulfill the specific purpose of each one. Once the maximum retention period has been reached, the personal data will be irreversibly anonymized (the anonymized data may be retained) or will be securely destroyed, except when there are legal requirements that oblige the retention of the data for a minimum period of time. In this case, the data will be kept for that period of time.
In the event of legal disputes and for as long as these continue, the data will also be kept.
PCI does not provide services or assistance to minors and therefore does not collect or process data from minors.
PCI processes the data collected in order to communicate its activities, comply with contractual and legal obligations, share information of interest to the data subject, optimize the website and online tools under its responsibility, including content management and prioritization.

Whenever this occurs, subcontractors are obliged to comply with personal data protection rules and regulations, using the technical and organizational means at their disposal.
PCI is implementing various technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data of data subjects. If service providers are subcontracted, they must guarantee the same level of protection. Any breach, or attempted breach, of the personal data for which it is responsible will be reported to the judicial, control and supervisory authorities. If the breach involves a high risk for data subjects, they will be informed of the incident.
